Thouzon Castle is actually an ancient fortified monastery which belonged to the Benedictines. Situated on the top of a hill in the middle of the Comtat Venaissin plain, surviving from the glory of the past remain a church with its vault, a chapel, two towers, some pieces of walls and, in the middle of the yard, a cistern dug in the rock. Today a private property, Thouzon Castle is restored and managed by an association linked to R.E.M.P.ART. which each year during the summertime organises a workcamp (chantier) with volunteer young people.
